For the first time in the country, online recruitment of Anganwadi workers has been started in Gujarat. Gujarat is the only state in the country to launch such a portal.
Manisha Chandra, Commissioner and Secretary, Department of Women and Child Development, said that a total of 601606060 posts including 5555 Ang5555555 Anganwadi workers and 500005 Chaghar women are to be recruited in the next six months in the districts and metros of the state.
Recruitment will be through portal portal online portal. There are currently 53029 Anganwadis functioning in the state. Out of which 51229 Anganwadi workers and 51229 Tedaghar women are working. In addition, 1800 workers are employed in the mini Anganwadis.
ICDS Director Ashok Sharma said that out of the total posts of 1 lakh four thousand honorary servants, 97098 posts are being filled. In the next six months, the recruitment process will be completed in 45 days in all the districts through the online recruitment process.
Mehsana district has been selected as a pilot project for the online recruitment process. Under this recruitment process of 111 Anganwadi workers and 131 Tedaghar women was completed.
The state government has decided to recruit 60160 workers and Tedagar sisters online in the Anganwadi Centers as most of the operations in the state are being done due to the transition of online cores.
A special web portal has also been launched for this recruitment which is the first experiment in the country. Currently 97098 out of 1.04 lakh honorary posts have been filled. It is planned to complete the recruitment cycle in 45 days in all the districts by conducting online recruitment process in the next six months.
