Eligibility Test (CET): After the approval of formation of National
Recruitment Agency (NRA) by Modi government, now agency for recruitment
examinations for Group B and Group C posts of Railways (RRB), SSC and
Banking (IBPS) The General Eligibility Test (CET) will be conducted
twice a year and there will be no restriction on the number of attempts.
The
general eligibility test will be conducted at three levels - 10th, 12th
and graduate levels. Standard syllabus will be applicable for general
eligibility test which will be released later. General eligibility test
will be conducted in Indian languages besides Hindi and English. The
general eligibility test is to be conducted next year i.e. from 2021,
under this, candidates preparing for government job will not have to
apply separately for recruitment in central departments and
organizations.
Earlier, in the Modi government's cabinet meeting, the same general
eligibility test - CET was approved for recruitment to the posts of
Group B and Group C in the Ministries, Departments and Organizations of
the Central Government on 19, August 2020. Granted.
According
to the information received from the Central Government Secretary C
Chandramouli, there are more than 20 recruitment agencies of the present
and we will gradually conduct all these exams with the passage of
Common Eligibility Test in future. However, initially the examinations
of only three agencies will be conducted by the National Recruitment
Agency (NRA).

The government has proposed general eligibility test with the objective
of providing convenience to the young unemployed preparing for
government jobs. Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions
Jitendra Singh had informed on 13 March 2020 that the central government
is an autonomous body 'National Recruitment Agency' to streamline the
recruitment process for government agencies and 2.5 crore candidates who

General
Eligibility Test can be held at three levels - Secondary (10th), Senior
Secondary (12th) and Graduate. Candidates will be able to appear in

This
will also not clash the dates of various recruitment exams. Also, the
candidates will have to pay the fee for the same examination instead of
paying the fee repeatedly in filling different forms.
The
formation of the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) for conducting and
implementing the General Eligibility Test (CET) was proposed by the
Finance Minister during the 2020 budget speech. The Joint Aptitude Test
will replace the first level examinations of the Staff Selection
Commission, Railway Recruitment Board and Institute of Banking Personnel
Selection.
